Hi Maureen Would you please be able to check the baptisms that I'm missing from my family? The Church is the Holy Trinity, Wingate Grange, and my missing ones are as follows:- John Brown - born 1886, Mary Brown - born 1888 Albert Brown - born sept 1/4 1898, and Percival Brown - born 3/6/1901 Their parents were Thomas Brown and Mary (nee Carruthers). By the way, Thomas retired from Durham Police Force in 1901, and previously you suggested I contact Durham Constabulary to see if they had any records - do you have a contact there that I could write to as they haven't responded to my emails:-( boo hoo Many Thanks Bev X ps. If too many please could you just look for Percivals Baptism as he's my Granddad:-)

Maureen This is probably closed now but if you get any spare time could you have a look at the following: I am looking for confirmation of father's occupation on the baptism of Robert Bone, son of Robert Bone and Mary who was baptised on 23 August 1822 at St Hilda's Church, South Shields, Co Durham. I am also hoping for confirmation of the occupation and age of Robert Bone who married Mary Ladler on 14 December 1806 at St Paul's Jarrow, Co Durham. I am hoping that the occupation will be shoemaker but I appreciate that the occupation may not even be on. Many thanks Andrea

Hi Maureen Would very much appreciate it if you could look for a baptism for Ernest Pearson, born 24 May 1915, 15 Park Crescent, Spennymoor, parents Arthur and Mary Isabella Pearson. Also any siblings if there are any, Also, is you have the time, a marriage of Mary Isabella Hall to Arthur Pearson, June Qtr 1909, you did suggest a possible church, but I've mislaid the paperwork and I can't remember which one you thought is mught be. Mary Isabella Hall was the daughter of James and Dina Hall. In 1901, the Hall family were living at 34 Russell St? in the civil parish of Brandon & Bysholten?, parish of St Pauls? Many thanks, your help is very much appreciated Chris

Hi Maureen You have very kindly helped me before and I wonder if you can help me with finding the date of death of John Reed who died between 1841 and 1851 in Deptford Sunderland. His burial would probably have been St. Andrew's Church Deptford. His address on the 1841 Census is Deptford Hall, Sunderland. and his widow is still there in 1851. He was married and all his children baptised at St. Peter's Church Monkwearmouth. Not knowing the area I do not know how near these two parishes are. Many thanks Susan

~*~ Mo Report 2 Feb 2006 16:57

Hi Susan Ancestry has the 1837 index online for all Births Deaths and Marriages... Try and find him and a possible year... a ten year search for big parishes could take a couple of hours even a year search depending on how well written the parish registers are could take 30 mins plus..... or if you can wait until I get chance to look..myself..at Ancestry .... I'll take it back with me the next time I go..will be around the 22nd Feb the next visit...I will be up there usually every fortnight from now on unless we get some severe weather..... Or of course family commitments... Any I dont get done on Wednesday will roll over to the next visit anyway.. I am doing some really heavy work on my tree at the minute pre 1700 and some of its really hard going... so will do that on the morning and this on the afternoon........ Mo
