thanks fi and lilly, that patty shelton seems to be the right one - her parents were william shelton and martha slack. i dont know how far back your records go, but do you have any baptism records for any sheltons born to william and ?ellen shelton(william sheltons parents), born gedling area mid 1750`s to mid 1760`s. many thanks, sara

Karen, There is No Gertrude Eliza Henson born 1877 in Bingham. There is a Gertrude Hanson christened 9/2/1879 in Newark St Leonard with parents Jesse and Mary. Hope that helps Fi

Hi Jan There is an Elizabeth Guiler with parents Isaac and Elizabeth who was christened 13/02/1820 in Basford St Leodegarius There is a Samuel christened 13/03/1814 in Greasley with parents John and Sarah There is no Ann (1820). The Samuel she married could be this one (surname spelt Giler) christened 27/11/1814 with parents Samuel and Ann in Basford St Leodegarius There is No Sarah Guiler/Guyler (1842 Basford) As you said, all a but confusing but I hope it helps. Hi Fi Please could you look up the baptism of Elizabeth Guiler (1818, Beverlee = begailee = near greasley) Her parents I assume, according to the 1841 census are John and Sarah. Her daughter was baptised at the methodist church - is that a different register? If so Elizabeth may not be on yours. Again from 1841, I assume she had a brother Samuel(1814) and a sister Ann(1820). She married another Samuel Guyler(also 1814!) who was the son of the Samuel you tried to look up before - very confusing! Also please could you look up Sarah Guiler/Guyler (1842 Basford) - I'm interested in who her parents are. She is on the 1851 census with John and Sarah (Elizabeth's Parents) and the relationship is granddaughter. Thank you very much Jan

Hi Fi Thanks for checking out Harry Paulson. Can you say why it's not the case that his baptism isn't recorded? Is there any significance to this; what can I infer from this? Anyone's help with this is very much appreciated.... Jerry
