Hi Lesley, I am in Aus and am having trouble finding following. Marriage of Charles Maynard and Martha Lee sometime in 1820's in Kent And i would LOVE the birth (looking for parents of) Charles Maynard born 1804-8 ?? Kent , Surrey border. Hi Lesley, You are going to think this is really stupid but if I have a family in the census with their children, how do I go about finding out when the children married. Do I have to go over every year on Ancestry or what, sorry I haven't had to do this before as I was searching the parents and had a year of the marriage for them. BETTY *************** No your not stupid..but yes Thats what I do.. I find the Father & Mother with the kids and go through all census yrs and check which child is still there ... Then whenever the last one was I saw them on eg.1891..I then check after 1891 in that area and see if I can find any marriages that might Tally.... I then.....see if I can find them with their Husband / Wife that are on BMD by checking Birth yr/place tally on census.. If I cant find any that seem to match on census's I then check for deaths.... It helps if the names are unusual as does most of this family tree business lol.... Yes IT TAKES AGES Hope this helps. WHAT INFO HAVE YOU GOT I WILL TAKE A LOOK FOR YOU IF YOU WANT? Lesley :~)
