They may NOT have married at all, but then she wouldn't have married to Hardcastle under surname Henderson if she hadn't been previously married. You need to send for the birth cert of James M Henderson in 1921, to verify that he & Benjamin are actually brothers. Have you got the marriage cert between Florence Henderson & Frank Hardcastle ? ON ORDER You need to verify Florence's status at time of marriage. Divorcee / Widowed and her former names. You also need the marriage cert for Florence Hardcastle to John Fairbank, again to clarify her status and her previous names. ON ORDER No Birth Registered for Irene Hardcastle - where have you had this name from please ? No Birth registered for Jean Fairbank .... could this actually be JUNE Fairbank b 1937 ... makes more sense and fits in. I'm wondering if James McLean Henderson was the product of a Henderson / McLean marriage .... and he MAY have been born in Scotland or Ireland. Elaine.. re--jean fairbank---june fairbank c1930 she was def called jean fairbank,i knew her she only died 2 weeks ago. As for the marriage certs, i live in halifax where the marriages took place and where they have been ordered from, I will go to the reg office this week and try and boot them up the backsides LOL Will post all the details on this thread when i get the certs. Your both welcome ! FC has found a birth of James McLean Henderson in SCOTLAND ....... and the death :-( I'll add the info to this thread, then we can keep it all together .. (if FC doesn't mind !)

Sorry to butt in Elaine. There are 3 James McLean Henderson births in Scotland. 1883, 1885 and 1897. According to the IGI, the 1897 one died though (found by FC). No matches for a marriage to a Florence. However, there are 2 marriages listed. I haven't looked at the details, but I guess they could be the older two James'.

Hi babe ! Your NOT butting in ! All info and help welcome. Now that we have the info in some sort of assemblance, it is clearer to see where we are going and where we have been !
