Oh of course !! Ellen's daughter Louisa !!! I think I had done that much back and forth from one census to another, I just didn't connect the grandaughter ! Nice one ! Heather to the rescue again !!! Hope your 'connection' on Genes comes through x Elaine ;-)

no i dont think i need the images, i too have looked everywhere and am not sure where to go next, like you im now sure they never married so i think i will struggle to get any further. I can't find a marriage ... so I don't think they married - sorry :-( Definately can not find ONE birth with surname Nudge ... so I'm totally lost. Not sure what to suggest now sweetheart ! Have JUST got your e.mail .... can I presume that you don't want the images - as they are the wrong family ( that's a definate !!) ?? Elaine ;-)

just been looking on bmd and it probably looks like it is ellen fudge from keynsham, as there isnt any others, but i still cant find a marriage for ellen and james,

it could well be, im totally confused by Nudge, Fudge, and Judge, just had a word with my dad, he just laughed and said the whole family on that side have lost their marbles, he is just as confused as me.

There are quite a few James Goff and James Gough's born in Stockland, devon on the earlier census's ... but NONE in the correct year - or remotely near ! I'm now beginning to wonder IF Ellen's surname was Fudge rather than Nudge ... as no matter WHERE I search, no results are showing for Nudge !!! not on census's or BMD's ! ...it's like the name never existed !! lol. I'm currently researching the possibility that Ellen Nudge (Fudge) is the Ellen b 1840 ish !!! Fudge ... daughter of Jemima ! (NO Father ever listed ) 1841: Jemima has Ellen aged 6 mths with her in Ilchester 1851: Jemima has Ellen aged 9 and Grace aged 5 1861 jemima has Ellen aged 19 and Grace aged 16 1871 Jemima has Grace 25 There ARE other children. I'm still researching sorry !! I'm like a dog with a bone ! Now I'm NOT sure about Ellen Fudge: ... you'll see why !!
