Hi Lesley, Yes I've got her name from their daughter's birth certificate. Daughter was Lily Maria Stokes born Birmingham 1870. I know I've got the right family as elderly relatives confirm this, plus I've got her marriage cert (Lily Maria's) to my gt grandfather. Hi Lesley, Would really appreciate a Marriage look up please. I've asked others on this site with no joy so I won't be offended if you'd rather not look - I'll understand. Marriage of Edward Stokes & Marion Godfrey, 1868 - 1870 if possible. Marion's christian name may not be spelt as above, could also be Maryann / Mary Ann. Area of marriage, Stafford possibly Birmingham as that's where their 1st child was born in 1870. Marion was born in Middlesex London in 18521/ 52 so can't believe she would have married before 1868, & as Edward was born in Birmingham I think that's where they met and married.
