Hi Suzanne, I deffo have correct marriage for Elizabeth im using info on cert to try and locate the family in 1861, ie father named as John Colclough, occupation Collier.. I didnt know Coughton was an area near Congleton, thanks for that ,on later census Elizabeth gives Congleton Cheshire as place of birth, so i guess either birh place could be right....not much help in pin pointing her though lol Ive just had another look at 1851 image, i think it reads Congleton.... |

Hi Lib, Some of the parishes from the 1861 census are missing, according to Ancestry. They give a whole load of piece numbers, but do not say where they are. Sorry, this is not very helpful for your search !!! Regards Vera |

Hi are you sure you have the right Elizabeth's marriage or the right family in 1851? 1851: Coughton is actually a place near Congleton Elizabeth Colclough abt 1840 Congleton, Cheshire, England Daughter Congleton Cheshire Elizabeth Colclough abt 1841 Coughton, Cheshire, England Daughter Openshaw Lancashire Perhaps the family you have in 1851 emigrated? Do you have her on censuses after marriage and where does it state she came from? Suzanne |
