Hi Lesley, William Hodgson's occupation is given as Labourer. The facts behind the dates and ages are that in the 1851 there is :- Mary Hodgson abt 1837 Dunsforth Granddaughter Huby Yorkshire William Hodgson abt 1788 Ampleforth Head Huby Yorkshire and William 1821 is son of William 1788 (actually 1789 in IGI) I have not been able to find a birth for Mary, daughter of William in the Huby/Dunsworth area or any siblings. Hi Lesley, I am still in bother with Mary Hodgson (1837). On her marriage certificate her father's name is given as William who I believe was born in 1821 in Sutton on the Forest, Yorks (Close and south of Easingwold). Hi Lesley, I wonder if you would do a look up for me on the birth of John Rees Richards born 1887/8. Not sure of place but have his mother as a Margaret Richards. On John Rees Richards marriage is his Fathers name of William but as to date can find nothing on him. John and his mother are found in Swansea 1911 Anything would be much appreciated. Thanks Brian
