Hi girls, I'd really appreciate it if you could help me find a bit more information on the following couples. I have a Phoebe Mills born 30/12/1797 and christened 31/12/1797 in North Cove Suffolk, teh IGI records state her parents as being:- James Mills and Latitia Botewright (or I've seen it in other forms Letitia or Laetitia and surname Botwright). I'd like to find out more info on these two, I believe they hailed from Denham & Kelsale in Suffolk respectively. Any dates, other children & especially names of their parents would be great. The other couple is:- John Godbolt (or Godbold) born circa 1730, poss in Wilby Suffolk. and Sarah Pearson again born around same time, same place. They had a son, John Godbolt (or John Godbold) born circa 1756 in Wilby. Again any date of marriage for John & Sarah, other children or their parents names & details would be great. Thanks very much for your time. Look forward to hearing from you. All the best Donna |

Liz n Alicia, thanks ever so much for looking, but not letting you off that lightly, lol it would help a great deat if you could solve the mystery of Morris Moores childrens mother !!! ok we have Patrick Moore b. 1853, Middlesex ( they did live in St Lukes if that helps ) Edward Moore abt 1856, but could be as early as 1851 as there is a male child on 1861 census (name unreadable) aged 10 that i can't account for, but Edward is missing !!! i have no idea who their mother is........... Morris was then with a Johanna in 1861 census, but as she was born 1840, in Ireland i believe she is too young to be Patrick & Edwards mother... can't even find a marriage for them either !!!! told you they were trouble ! thanks for your time Jane x |

Hi Liz and Alicia From your previous info and that received from the author of the Calton book, I have now moved to Derbyshire in my search. Using the records I have access to and the traditional naming sequence, I believe Lawrence GREENSMITH (Elizabeth Hidderleys husband) was the son of John Greensmith and Sarah BUXTON who married 1743 in Bradbourne Derby, and that he had a brother also John. John snr (born c1716 Alsop en le dale?) could be son of Thomas Greensmith and Ann As I won't be able to get to Derbyshire until the autumn to check parish records etc. could you please see if you have anything based on these 'clues'. Much appreciated Linda |

Hello Liz & Alicia, thank you for a wonderful offer. Do you think you could find me the birth of PETER THIRLAWAY, born 1795, Lumley, Durham, please? There are two Peter Thirlaway's born in the same year and same time, my Peter was married to a lady named Jane Holmes, if that helps. I'd really appreciate it if you could also find the birth of JOHN SHORT in Wicklow, Ireland around 1810, please. I'm sorry the info is so limited. Please don't worry if you are unable to do either. Thank you so much, I am so grateful to you. Kirsten |
