Find Ancestors

Hi Liz & Alicia Hope you can help me to locate the birth of Julia Prosser born c1868. I have located her on the 1871 census in Leigh, Worcestershire, aged three years. Julia at this time located under PRASSER. Father was Richard Prosser/Prasser birth place Hanley Castle, Worcestershire. Mother was Mary Ann Prosser/Prasser born Malrem, Worcestershire. Siblings born Malrem. Later census show Richard Prosser & Mary Ann Prosser in Salford. No Julia though. Julia married John Game, and he died in 1904, and Julia Then Game went onto marry again in 1907. Can find everything for Julia apart from her birth certificate and her Marriage certificate to John Game. Know she married John Game & had four children, got them on Census 1901 in Bootle cum Darnell, have got birth certificates and these show mother Julia Game, formally Prosser, her marriage in 1907 shows her as Widow and Fathers Name Richard Prosser, Occupation Huntsman in Hanley Castle. All ties in everywhere, but still no birth record or marriage record. A John Game married Mary Ann Prosser and this leads me to believe that he married Julia's older sister and when she died then Married Julia. Need to locate marriage of John Game to Julia Prosser to establish that John Game was a Widow when he married Julia. This would then lead me to locate where John Game originated? Hi Liz & Alicia, I am taking up your kind offer once again. I am searching for the marriage of Samuel Powell to Jane ? 1788 Winscombe, Somerset, England. The only information I can provide is from the IGI which states Samuel Powell was born 1763 Winscombe, Somerset. Jane was born 1767 but no surname or county given. Samuel and Jane had a daughter Mary, born 31 May 1781 Winscombe, Somerset and possibly had the following children too although I have found no records of them to date: Samuel 1797, Jane, 1798, Benjamin 1800, Joseph 1802 and Thomas Powell 1807. Alicia Thanks for Ann! Lawrence and Cicely are my ggg grandparents. Lawrence born 1786 son of laurence and elizabeth. I know of Thomas and lawrence and their families from census returns but no details. It is their brother William born 1717 that is my gg grandfather. He married Sarah Dakin. You are doing great work for all on GR. I am on a real high today, the brickwall looks as if it is demolished! Linda

Thank you for your offer, Can you find a marriage between Frederick William FOOT (1868)marriage to Kate CLEMENTS (1869) nee HEAD around 1900-1903. This is Kate's second marriage so could be under CLEMENTS or maiden name of HEAD. After Frederick William FOOT and Kate CLEMENTS married they had a daughter Ellen Margaret FOOT in October 1903 On my grandmothers (Ellen Margaret FOOT born 1903)birth cert. Father: Frederick William FOOT ( born 1868 in Pancras) occupation Electric Cable Linesman.
