Father James Carter bn about 1828 ireland Mother Margaret Carter nee Perrin bn about 1839 Pemdleton M/c Address 1861 14 Quay St Manchester ' 1881 Ayre St Salford 1871 should show a :- James Carter bn1865 Elizabeth Carter bn abt 1857 Mary Carter ?? bn 1868 Amelia Carter bn abt 1863 I think Mary Jane mayhave died sometime between 1861 & 1881. his wife should be sarah anne, born 1860 in reigate, Sheila found a Walter Huggett born in Leigh and Sarah born in Petworth but not sure if thats them now i have had time to look properly,the reason i would like to know who this walter from croydon was living with is becaus we have a few butchers from that era. regards

Hi Lesley, thanks again for your offer. Could you try to find Joseph Smith on the 1851. He would have been about 28 and was a watchmaker. He was born and lived in Coventry, he may have been married by then and his wife was Jane.(lots of Jane's and John's in this family, they are a nightmare to find). Sue
