Just found Joseph on 1901 census, he is married to Charlotte and he has two boarders living there but no mum

Well if I dont find her soon I will be Instatutionalized Think if they never got divorced then I might traw the deaths when I get a chance. There is another option open but we wont be able to do anything as not census for 1911 but going on the son Josephs age she may have gone to live with him when he got married. Am going over to England at the end of the month so I will order Josephs birth cert and check it out. xxxx

hiya, i think that's about it really, cant do much now apart from see what marr cert says, we've been all 'round the houses' and i can surely say we covered all possiblilties, as much as i hate to say it, perhaps she will always be a mystery, i would check electoral rolls though for william, maybe that might help, or if you get lucky and trace john/joseph the son, but i think that'll be another day/nite take care, julie

nope sherlock you are wrong, clearly states M on 1901 image, have double checked all images, always states him as M, 1871-1901 conclusive. I wonder if she was institutionalised??? for some reason? julie

Just a thought on the 1901 census it states William is a widow,so that means between 1881 and 1901 she died eh?

LOL here's what i think, the marriage entry is right, if jane slee is your jane, she would've been 24 at marriage, on cert i'll bet it just says full age, which could mean anything after 21, what if she lied on census about her birth year?? this is the only thing i can come up with, she lied!!! as for finding william after 1901, how about electoral rolls?? you know where he lived, would that help narrow his death down??? and as for Jane, well, she either did die, or the aliens got her waddya think??? julie i'd order marriage cert and put williams father as ref check and possibly if you can his occupation,

hiya, i did notice about error on 1901 cen, atm i am in process of looking for him prior to 1871 cen, do you have any details of him then?? it certainly is a mystery, why should he be listed as married if she isnt about, if she'd died surely he'd be listed as widow? do you know when he died??? so your grandad was john then? or am i getting in amuddle? julie

1901 Census is incorrect if you follow the arrow the enumerator put in you will see that William was born in London ( stepney actually) it was Mary mother of Margaret that was born in Ormskirk and NOT grimsby. I know all of the streets for Grimsby as I am from there. Your certianly working hard girl xxxxx

Hi Julie,yes I have this census printout and this is what got me thinking,were is Jane for him to be a boarder in the town of Grimsby the addy for that was Edward Terrace. The previous census the 1871 one has all three living together at 154 Albert Street Grimsby. The census you talk about for 1891 is were he is living at my Grandparents house (his younger brother john) Margaret is married to John and it also states Grainsby when it should read Grimsby. Elizabeth Eleanor is my grandmother,John William is my nanas brother. Margaret Is my gt grandmother who was born in Manchester nee Wood. SO WHERE HAS JANE GONE THEN ????
