Find Ancestors

I did a search for samuel on the 1901 aswell the otherday. He died ages 61 in 1961 it says. So i got four options for 1901 census entrys for children born in birmingham with that name 1989 to 1901. No way to narrow it down though. Will have to have his marriage cert first.

So Maud died after 1968

How come one message says theres a maud option for birth in OND 1907 but the death says it was a birth in Apr 1907 just a thought as i type them in

Deb so it's the wrong Maud then i have the death for so still need to look up her death from 1968 to 1983?? we can do that on new thread if you wish but also better check to see if theres a Maud Matthews born a-j 1907 on the beta index when i looked up the births it was just on ancestry not the actuall indexes hun NO Maud Matthews born 1907 a-j

Couple of other things.... In the Arthur R Probert birth / death bit does the birmingham refer to the birth or death or both? and the E A Matthews death bit shows the birth reg as 1905 but the other ones you entered says 19 Jy 1903. Im getting all confused lol

Maud could have just been registered later i suppose, but thats a whole 6 months later, was that allowed then?

regards to ellen amelia it was a typo its def 1905 hun proberts birth reg birmingham and his death

have changed yr of birth to 1905 on death ref. have also cleaned pc monitor!!

Debs I started looking at this yesterday but had to leave for work before I finished. I looked at Probert deaths and all teh hits I got for either an E A (anywhere ) or an E in Birmingham after the date of the date on the death cert and up to 1983 are: EMMA A 1964D Birm b1900 ESTHER ANN Barrow F 1971M b 18/10/1877 Ethel Adeline Newoprt 1974 J b 1902 Elizabeth Ann Bristol 1979 M b 1890 Ellen Amelia 1979 J Birmingham b19/7/1905 Edith ALice 1978D Hereford b 1910 Esther Anne Swansea 1982D b1900 Emily Augusta 1983J Birmingham b 1899 I tried to start cross referencing to get a first name for the husband my looking at Probert marriages but only managed to do 1920 and half of 1921 (without a maiden name).
