Susan all I could find birth of john william standgroom jul aug sept qrt 1853 strand london vol 1b page 373 getting this cert will gave both parents. found a marriage of a john marring either elizabeth allen or Blake july aug sept 1841 st martin in field london vol1 page 171 elizabeth died jan feb mar 1894 strand london vol 1b page 448 john william married jessie howe apr may june london vol 1d page 316 1901 census john porter jessie rose 12 violet 11 jessie 4 living 16 wych st st mary le strand london searched for all on 1891 ????????? hi sally: I dont know if you can help me, I am a beginner and unsure of a few things. Ufortunatly i am unabe to find any info on my grandparents ie birth death or marriage. they were both born in glasgow scotland around 1927-1930 my grndmother is Mary Parsons and my grandfather was John Gibbons. my father and both his parents are no longer here so i can't find any more details i would lilke anything you can find to help me get past my grandparents. I really need these details to continue my family tree. P.S my dad was also born in glasgow 1/12/1950 John Fredrick Gibbons. Can't find his birth details either. don't need death because thay all died in England and have managed to get them. I would be very gratefull to you ***sharon***

Hi Sally Thanks for the offer. Could you please look up in the 1851 and 1861 census, David and Hannah Felts? Hannah was born c.1825 in Lincolnshire. They had children John, Jane, Martha and Sarah, born between 1847 and 1857 in Spalding/Pinchbeck, Lincs. Thanks, Anna

Hi Sally, Could I ask for an 1841 census look up. Charles Pearce born abt 1807 Martha Pearce wife born abt 1805 children Ann age abt 10 Martha age abt 2 may be other children. In 1851 and 1861 they were in Marylebone. I think they were all born in Marylebone so should be there in 1841. Many thanks Chris

hi sally , could you try and find JOSEPH BURGESS in the 41 and 51 census, he was born abt 1818 Rowley or Dudley staffordshire. he married Elizabeth ??? don`t know when. he was still in staffordshire in 61, i just hope there wasn`t loads of them. his children were thomas, john, richard, jonas , joseph, annie and elizabeth just in case there is a name of siblings etc that matches thanx a lot sharon

Hi Sally I'll cross my fingers and hope you have better luck !! I am looking for a marriage in Ireland or Scotland between THOMAS / THOMAM McGARRY and MARGARET / MARGARITAM SMITH. They were both born in Taunagh, Sligo, Ireland. According the their children's birth certs. they were married in Edinburgh on 4 February 1851, but I haven't been able to find any documentation in the Scottish registers. elaine all that came up was 1841 census bess mcgarry 1801 >THOMAS 1828 maryann 1831 wm 1833 all born Ireland living glasgow. as for margaret smith 2089 came up. Do hope this helps. _____________

Sally, thanks for this information. My previous finds was a Thomas also born 1828 - just wondering if it's the same Thomas. Could you pls. tell me if the 1841 Census states relationship to the head of the family or any other relevant info. as the birth of a Thomas McGarry in Ireland has his mother as Eleanorae Donogh.
