Hi Penelop You are one busy lady. I have found out a bit more since we last spoke.My Catherine Norwood was born in Weston Turville, Buckingham around 1864. She married James Deering on the 24th April 1882 in Weston Turville, Buckingham. She is as far as I go back with my maternal great grandparents, so I would be very interested in her parents names and siblings that might show up on the 71 or 81 census. Hi Penelope After such a great job of finding the Westworths for me, I wonder if you can help me in so much as tracing another Relative: Here goes Mary Ann Robinson born 1875 Apr – June Preston Married Thomas Fazackerley Oct – Dec 1894, I have copy of their Marriage Certificate, however, her Father Richard was deceased ?? and yes here comes the questions…. 1881 Census – No Trace of her could you look on 1871 for me. Richard Robinson 1871 Census – Who was he married to, names of wife & children. Then if possible names of his parents. This is all the information that I have without seeing the census. Hi, Pen. Thankyou so much for all your hard work! They're a frustrating lot , my Sampson's! lol! I found the same family on the 81 cencus and although they didn't have a William with them, there was a William Sampson who was an inmate of the St Olave infirmary with the right year & place of birth which could tie him in with them, and now seeing that you managed to find them on the 1871 with a William (YIPEEEEE!) It looks as though they could be the right one's (she say's with crossed fingers?) Where could they have been hiding on the 1891?? Now the 1901 is a real mystery to me because when William & Jane (Howard) married in 1897 their address was 10 bourne street Croydon Surrey. This was Jane's parents address from the 1881 cencus to the 1901 cencus and beyond. William Thomas was born there in 1898 & my Nan Edith was born there in 1903. I have all the Howards living at that address but no Sampson's! See what I mean about the brick wall! lol! Thank's again, Gaynor x

Hi Pen Trying to find my grans borthers sisters and parents. Her Name was Jane Ellen MacDermott born 25.03.1909 she was the youngest of 10. So hopefully some of her siblings will show up on the 1901 census. Her parents were Jane and Richard MacDermott she had two sisters Margarete and Lizzie (short for Elizabeth I think) and 7 brothers Ernie, Albert, James, Sidney dont know the other 3 names. She was born and bred in Ashton under Lyne and as far as I know all her siblings were. Hope you can help. I am new at this and dont know where to start. Cheers Angela
