Hello again Anne, many thanks for your information regarding my SCOTT family in Barony, Glasgow. Sorry to be a pest but could you check James SCOTT head 53 years place of birth again. In 1871 census he lists it as Linlithgow, Bo'ness, West Lothian, however on this 1881 census it is Glasgow Lanark. I am hoping that this is a mistake as my research has been in the Bo'ness area. Hi Helen That's the only place of birth the census has. It's possible that he put his place of birth down different from 1871 on the census forms when he filled them out at the time. I have found this to be the case when researching my own family. Anne

John Taits parents were Robert Tait 1840 and Elizabeth Craik 1845 Perth Rose's parents were James Tracey, 1840 and Isabella Hawkins, 1858. Looking for any information on the families at 1881.
