Thanks very much Jane, you are spot on Richard's father was indeed James Taylor. Could I be cheeky and ask you to look up Caleb Taylor in the 1891 and 1901? He seemed a bit of a mummy's boy- he was still living with his parents aged 30 in the 1881! He was born in 1850 in Brenchley Kent. Cheers, Anna

Pamela now...... i have searched and searched for all of them in 1841..... without any luck i'm fraid. thought Loranah might make it easier, but can't find her in an earlier or later census, or a marriage, or even the neice Louisa !! can't find Charles in 1841 to see if Mary was with him, and to see what her surname was, can't find a marriage for them either. trouble is they are in London, and with Davies, and all variations of it, make it 10 times worse !!!! sorry...... can't think where to go with this one any more. :o( Jane

Hi Jane, I am trying to piece together the life of Annie Millar who was born in Shrewsbury c.1867. In 1881 there is a 13 year old as a visitor in Wolverhampton and I have her getting married in Leeds in 1891. Her entry in 1901, as Annie Nelson, gives her age as 34 from Short, Shrewsbury.
