Is it possible to look for Georgina Mitchell in the 1851 or 1861 census for Greenock, Scotland please? Georgina married in 1866 in Greenock, Renfrewshire and lived there with her husband, Samuel & family until they moved to Liverpool in 1878. I have them in Greenock in the 1871 census and Georgina (sometimes called Jenny) as age 21 and born Greenock so hopefully that is where she would be in 1851 & 1861. I really want to establish who her parents are and siblings if possible. Any help at all would be greatly appreeciated. Thank you, Sue

Hi Debra Thanks for the offer, could you try 1861 Census for Paisley,Renfrewshire, I am looking for Robert Leitch b.Jan.1846, in 1851 he was living at 18 Gordon Lane Paisley, he would have been 15 years old at the time of the 1861census, his parents were Robert Leitch b. 1800 & Janet Aitken b. 1803, I think both of them were dead in 1861. HI Debs. I think you've hit on something. I've been stuch on this one for ages. I'm sure it must be the same family though there is a discrepency in ages. However without sounding nasty, perhaps they didn't know how old they were as (don't know if you noticed) next to the father's name in the 1881 census he's classed as an imbecile. Hi Debs, no probs, I thought you couldn't have found it. I've deleted the other now anyway, so not to cause confusion. Could you search the 1891 and 1901 census for - Miriam Williams. In the staffordshire/south derbyshire area (particularly burton/gresely/swadlincote areas or near there). Exact birth year not known, 1875ish - 1895.
