Hello Debra Please can you do a lookup in the 1871 census. I am trying to find William James Morgan b Littlehampton, Sussex May 1839 so he should be 31. He should be a widower and probably a carpenter or boat builder. I am also looking for his daughter Emily Jane Morgan b Gillingham, Kent Dec 1865 so she should be 5, his son William J Morgan b Gillingham, Kent Oct 1867 so he should be 3. (There may also be an elder daughter Harriet) I would expect them to be living in Kent, but they could be in Sussex. Hope this is sufficient information for you to do a successful search! Many thanks in advance Julian |

Hi Debs, sorry if I confused you. ON the 1901 Wales census you found a William (1864) and Jane (1867) Fisher for me.-Born and living in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire with their children. They should also be on the 1891 census with their oldest children Catherine Fisher (1889) and Thomas (1887). Could you please have a look for their details please (where they were living, occupation etc) as I'm trying to fit them in to my family. My great grandfather was also a William Fisher (1871) born and living in Kidwelly (just in case you find the wrong William). I already have all his details- on the 1891 census he was living with his parents Henry and Margaret and brothers and sisters. Thanks Debra, hope it isn't too confusing for you. |

Hi Debra, can you have a look in the 1901 census for Joseph cheverton Jupe born 1858, his wife Annie Kezia Jupe (nee Jolliffe) born 1861, married 24/12/1879, they were both born on the Isle of Wight. they had 14 children Edith, Daisy, Ginny, Dorothy, Annie, Ivy (born 1886 in Lulworth, Dorset, England), Christine, Rosie, Charles, Joseph, William (poss born 1891), Arthur, George and Edward (i think he was born in 1902 though!). They may not be in the right orer though. The information on Ivy comes from her grandson so i beleive it to be correct. William Norville Jupe was my great grandfather but i only know the year he was born not where. Any information you could provide on this family would be much apprietiated. Thanks, Esther Mclenaghan |

Hi Debra I'm after some more help. I'm trying to trace my husbands family for him as well and i have very little to go on. His father was Albert Fennell born 22/12/1918 in Leeds and died in 1987. His second marriage was to an Alouisa Moth born in Austria 5/2/1928. I do not have any details of their marriage however they had three children Jackie, Erika and Peter (Erika and Peter were born in Munster 1961 & 1962 where he was in the Army). Alouisa was previously married and had two children, John and Jane. Albert was also previously married - no details available however I do know he had children / grandchildren from this marriage. Alberts parents were Harry Fennell born c1898 died and burried Rothwell, Leeds 1969 and Doris ? died 1972. Albert's siblings were Alan, Molly and Lillian. This is the only information I have to go on and would be very grateful for anything you can dig up for me. Thanks in anticipation. Julie |

Hi Debs My husband isn't in contact with any of his family so i'm really struggling. I've traced a marriage between Albert Fennell and a Betty Abram in Rothwell in 1942 - this might have been his first marriage? His second marriage to my mother in law might have taken place abroad as he was in the Army. I think she came from Graz in Austria and I know my husband was born in Munster where his dad was based. I guess they met out there. I also traced a wedding between a Harry Fennell (my husbands grandad) and a Doris Cooling in Hunslet in 1919. I know his gran was called Doris so i presume this is the same. When i've tried to search the free census etc the only Harry i've come up with says born Wakefield?. I think i've traced his brother Alan who married a Doreen Tooley in Woodlesford in 1945 however can't find his birth. Hope this helps. Julie |

Hi, Please can you find Joseph Butler on the 1841 through to 1861 census' please? I think he was born in about 1840 in West Butterwick, Lincoln, although he later moved into Yorkshire. He was a farmer, so his father was probably the same occupation. I don't know his parents names, sorry, so I hope there arn't too many as I'm guessing this is a fairly common name! I know that he married Jane Riley in about March 1860 in Thorne, Lincolnshire. Thanks Freya |

Hi Debs, Hope you can help me I'm a bit stuck. I'm looking for a David Miles born around 1832 in Wales. ON the 1881 census he's living with his wife Harriet and children Charlotte, Thomas, John and Jane. I know that Charlotte was a lodger in the 1891 census and I know of her whereabouts. It's her parents that I'm having difficulty locating either before or after the 1881 census. That census states that they were born in Carmarthenshire, though I'm beginning to doubt that. I have seen an index for a David MIles around 1832 on the 1851 index, living in Cardiff Glamorgan, Wales but haven't got access to the details. Could you try and find David (about 1832) or Harriet (1842) Miles for me please in any of the censuses other than 1881. I would say to try anywhere in Wales. Thanks very much for your help again. Shirley Ps I've seen Miles wrongly spelt as Mils. |
