Hi Pen could you possibly check findmypast or Ancestry for the following birth I am trying to find some info on 1901 Census about my grandparents but unfortunately I haven’t been very successful. My grandma’s name is Patricia Edith Cassidy and her parents are Edith Abbott & John (or Jack) Cassidy. My nan was born 1936 in Leeds West Yorkshire and had two siblings (that I’m aware of) Sheila & Jack (John). I have not found him on the free BMD site or Ancestry. I think my g.granddad was born in 1897 I have found this information on a free BMD web site but I can’t find anything else. Thank you for any help Sophia |

Richard Hill ************** Hi Richard, I will take another look at that image and find out what is going on, if memory serves me right, the father was a servant working for a William. So the children should of been listed as servants child, might be that they (transcriber) just noted the heads name and then mistranscribed. Will double check though. Will also answer your other queries. Pen x |

Hi there, thanks for the offer, I could really do with some help in tracing John Parker. I have his son's marriage certificate and it states he is dead - and thats where my trail stops too. He was married to Susan (sorry no maiden name), but she is stated as coming from Sturton in Sussex. I really am looking for the 1841 census as on the 1851 census Susan is remarried to Thomas Hawkins. The area is Easton in Hampshire - this is on the 1851 census and his two children Harriet and George were born their too. Any info would help. Many Thanks |

Penelope, Wow, Great work! I think the occupation for James Beverley was a Carter or Horse Driver/Labourer so that is probably on the lines of what you couldn't read. Cool, It has a district where he was born . . That may lead me somewhere !!! Unfortunately I am not sure exactly when Solomon Lewis & Henda Cohen/Lewis got to England and got married. I have found out tonight that Solomon Lewis (anglicised from Liebovici) –born in Romania, circa 1878 and died 1924 Henda Cohen – born in Romania, circa 1880 and died 1966 I believe they had been in England late 19th century before returning either around the time of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee or her death. I was hoping they may or one of them may have registered for the 1901 census at least but if you havent had any luck then I suppose I will have to wait for the 1911 census to come along Many thanks Paul |
