Ham 4a 74 Marriages Dec 1907 So you want Pumfrett births with MMn either Carter or Claydon Update: found one , so he must have married Annie Claydon Ethel D Pumfrett: 1911 : Jul-Aug-Sep Mother's Maiden Name: Clayden District: West Ham County: Essex, Greater London Volume: 4a Page: 89 there are clues to be had, you just have to look for them!

Ok, Let me see if ive got this all correct as ive got my nan to tell this all to lol. Albert Arthur Pumfrett Born abt 1914 Mmn Parks West ham Mothers name Roseamelia Paks and fathers name might of been Alfred John Pumfrett Married To Joan Gambles in 1936 Had 3 children Jean 1936 Gloria 1938 and David 1941 Roseamelias birth in 1883 at West ham And if father was Alfred his birth 1882 There is a Charles and Elizabeth Pumfrett in 1891 census but no son, would these be Alfreds parents? Albert had siblings, Rose Eveline, we have found and 2 brothers Albert we have and Alfred and Harry that hasnt been found. Ive got a headache lol Would i be right or wrong? Jo

Hi I'm not clear how much information you have on the death of Albert A in 1942 as you seem to have been sent info off the thread. However, I note that someone said that as he was killed in action he would not appear in the GRO index. That's not the case. Let me try this. albert Pumfrett BORN 1914 His mothers maiden name listed as PARKS. There is MARRIAGE for a ALFRED JOHN PUMFRETT & ROSE AMELIA PARKS, also in west ham.in 1906 NOW this is guess work. In 1901 census there is an ALFRED PUMFRETT In WEST HAM with his mother called MARIA PUMFRETT, a widow In 1891 census he is in WEST HAM again, with a MOTHER MARIA and a father JAMES ( all down as Pom not PUMfrett)
