Find Ancestors

Thank you so much for the very brave/generous offer. This is a real long shot but I would love to know anything about my great grandmothers sister Katie Schmidt nee Schnur - born c1880 in Hungary, and died after 1955 in most likely Weyburn Saskatchewan. My great grandmothers name was Anna Grund nee Schnur who died in Regina in 1955 and her sister Katie is mentioned in her obit. Also I have had no luck looking for information on my other Great Grandparents they cant be found in the 1910 census but are certainly there somewhere - there names were George Lamneck (Lamnick/Lemnack) born 1871 in Austria died in 1924 in Regina Sask. He married Anna Polachek who died in 1954. They arrived in Canada about 1903 and lived firstly in Winnipeg and then Regina but I cant find them on any census nor passenger record. They had 2 children Rudolph/Rudy and Josephine b1899. Any help/advise would be great. Dan

I have been really finding it hard to find 2 ladies from my mothers family one in Canada and the other in Australia, this is the information I know Mary Rossini b Glasgow 1908-09 father Henry Rossini mother Sarah Green marriage 1906 Glasgow, In 1928-30 Mary left Glasgow and went to Australia it only cost 10 pounds and her fathers aunt Martha Webster and husband James were her sponsors they lived in or around Brisban QLD around 1932 Mary married over there I think he had a horse ranch or stud farm but my mum cant remember the names or place do you thik you could help please thankyou Isabel

Hi Katrina I have recently decided to try to find cousins of mine who I have not seen since 1976. Their names are David and Stephen Houlihan. David came over to Manchester, England with his mum Betty in 1976 whilst his dad Desmond and brother Stephen stayed in Australia. I have no contact address. The only details I have are that they lived in Melbourne near Hansons corner?? And unfortunatley my Aunty Betty and Uncle Des are now dead. Hopeless I know but could you offer any advice? Please! Have a Betty E Tapp Married Ricard Ziede in Exeter Devon JAS 1944.England. He was a USA Soldier. Apparently they returned to America and had two sons. can you find anything on there travel or any births for me please? Sorry can't be more specific on area-I believe Betty and Richard are still alive.

Hi Katrina I do not know if you will beable to help me? I have tried before and had some wonderful help from lots of people but not got past this point. I have been trying to tace the family of Miss Bertha Game who married Mr William Campbell on August 20th 1915, their address at this time was 15 Sunnyside Avenue, Westmount, Montreal. I know nothing about William, but have all the history on Bertha up to this date. Her Parents were John Game & Julia Game, maiden name Prosser. Bertha was born in England, and was sent to Canada as Part of Ms Birts Britich Homes Party in 1907. Bertha's date was recorded as March 2nd 1893 by Liverpool Sheltering Home on 26th September 1906. Her niece is still alive and in her mid 70s and would love to find any cousins? Thank you for your time, Janice x

He is researching the Betts tree.He has entered his tree information on rootsweb & has some of mine but I cant find the connection.
