Hi Karen.

I am looking for birth record of William McLeod. 1861 census stated born St Quivox Ayrshire and that he was 77 at that time.

death record has parents Peter McLeod and Jean McGowan (although paper family tree from a couple of decades ago has father as Patrick).

I am looking for Hugh Bailie / Baillie born in Hamilton, Lanarkshire in 1818 to 1819 On FamilySearch there ia a hugh born in Hamilton but surname could be Baillie or Bailie or McKay. His death record in Australia states that his parents were John Baillie and Dorothy McKay but I have been unable to find these parents anywhere. So any Hugh born around 1819 would be worth checking.

I have a Mary Henderson b 1850 and I have her parents as Joseph or Joe Henderson b 1830 and Ann Malcolm b 1830 Can you help with any of these please She married Peter Brown about 1871 but was previously married to a Raeside. re wishart smith have looked but unable to trace parents , looks like died and then brought up by aunt and uncle regards karen

This is indeed a strange one but I do have his marriage certificate and on it his parents names are Jessie Smith nee Stevenson and David Smith. He married Euphemia Lowe 14/11/1859 in Midlothian. On his death certificate his parents are listed as Jessie Smith nee Stevenson and John Smith! He died 18/03/1913. Hope this helps! Matthew.
