Hello again Sheila Please would you help me with the following William Bowman b1823 Norton Le Clay N Yorks - where was he in 1861 and 71? I have possible matches for him in 1851 and 1881 in the London area. He reappears in 1891 and 1901 living with other members of his family in Yorkshire so I know he was around. In both 1851 and 81 he is a boarder but in 1881 he is down as a widow so may have a wife with him in 61 and 71. 51 he is in St Giles in the Field as a farmer, 81 in Southwark as a blacksmith - which he was when he went up north. Norton le Clay is close to Dishforth, Cundall, Topcliffe so they are possibles as birthplaces. Thanks for your help Kate

Hello again Shiela, I am still trying to locate my FIELDS. Unfortunately you were unable to locate them on 1891 and 1901 scottish census. Can I please ask for another couple of lookups. I have decided to go backwards with he father. 1871 census Dundee City FIELDS John, aged 35years 1851 census Dundee City FIELDS John, aged 16 years. Maybe where and who he was residing with will give me some clues. His place of birth is still to be determined may be Ireland of Lochee Dundee. Thank you once again for all your help. Helen
