Reply to Simon Knight-Smith: Perhaps sites should be tested but the impression given was that you were trying to find fault and catch the system out. Anyone who has tried to trace family members seriously will know all about the system in place as you described which is great for tracing long lost relatives. But as families grow and expand across the country, there may be cousins etc. out there who have also traced distant family and have names etc. but no means of contact with living family. This is a means for doing that and if it brings together any lost family members or can add the research of two people together, then it is worth it and can also be fun! |
