To Simon Just to point out that when I stated "it is usual to trace the male line" at no point did it infer that it is written in tablets in stone- if you re read further my comment about the Jewish community you will see that i was not being exclusive- most people trace through the male line as a matter of course with one surname- Regarding BMD- perhaps itis an excellent resource but I have yet to actually get onto the site as the page blurrs and despite refreshing the page am unable to use it to research. Now those points are out of the way perhaps we can all stop nit picking!! |
