Trying to find Genever

Genever is an old family name from Worcestershire. My great-grandmother was Ellen Genever (her sister became a 'Poor Clare' nun in Paris). Ellen married Berthold Hoefield, a gem dealer who worked in the Jewellry Quarter of Birmingham. They had four children - Felix (who lived near Sutton Coldfield and died in 1984), my grandmother Norah Louise (who died in Devon, 1982) and Kathleen (Kay)who continued living in the Midlands. One daughter is a mystery - "Meena", born c.1900. There is absolutely no information about her whatsoever, although I have a photograph of her. Any information about any descendants of the Genever/Hoefield family would be great. |
