I looked for her birth in Sussex too Roots.

This is from a tree on Ancestry.

Francis Stephen Bennett was born on 27 March 1879 in London, London, his father, Francis, was 22 and his mother, Marian, was 19. He married Ethel Ward and they had one daughter together. He also had one daughter from another relationship. He then married in March 1940 in Brighton, Sussex. He died on 17 March 1944 in Hounslow, Middlesex, at the age of 64.

Doris died 10 March 2004 and probate was granted 14 April 2004. You could buy a copy of her will.
