My grandmother was a Rumbles, and she and all her family came from Great Walsingham, Norfolk (England). I know quite a lot about the early Rumbles families, up to and including that of my grandmother, Sarah Maria Rumbles. However, I know hardly anything about what happened to them after 1900. Are there any Rumbles descendents out there - Annie Rumbles married Herbert Goll, a Bus conductor, and they are listed as living in Hastings. Mary (Polly) Rumbles married Henry (Harry) Grief or Greef, a butcher from Dersingham, Norfolk and they had Gertrude and Cathleen at the time of the 1901 census. Other members of the Rumbles family were still unmarried at the time. Can anyone help me? |
