Bryan Goodwin....my GOODWIN Ancestors come from Prestbury,in Cheshire, and my Gt.Gt.Grandparents,Samuel, and Martha, were married there in 1810 The earliest GOODWINS I can find in that village are from the 16th Century, when James married Agnes.Proving my links to them is a project I am working upon...Can you assist me ? On my Mother's side, I have traced Hempsalls back to the 16th Century too, and they all come from East Markham, on the Borders of Notts and Lincs.....which is where my Gt.Gt.Grandparents, Joseph and Jane lived....Any help appreciated... Bryan Goodwin Possibly my oldest known ancestor was John Hempsall, a copy of whose Will, made in 1610, I am still trying to decipher properly |
