Way back in the 1860's Richard Leeder, born the son of George Leeder and Mary nee Bexfield at Old Buckenham in 1848, left his Norfolk roots for the prospects of London where with Mary Brackin he had several children. Some of these are understood by Family Talk to have gone over to the other side of the Big Pond in company with their said father whilst mother stayed around with at least "our branch"of the family centred basically on East London.The Emigrees may have included Albert, Richard and William while Ernest is known to have stayed behind and we think an "Aunt Lou" may also have been a very rare creature in the Leeder family, a Sister or an abandoned wife even! |
