Hi Jeanette. From Valerie Wells (Northmore). I used to attend the Northmore - Narramore Reunions, some were held in Plymouth. Sadly the person who set up the Association suddenly stopped communicating with all members. I met Northmore’s and Narramores some travelled from USA, New Zealand and Australia. My dad’s dad was a John Northmore & his father was John Northore. In fact there are so many John Northmore’s within all the members family trees! Your post is. Dry interesting. There is a Northmore Arms pub on Dartmoor and a tiny iron cross set (Northore Cross) set into a boulder on Dartmoor. Including a graveside somewhere on Dartmoor with the name John Northmore. But my family tree does not link to the Northmore farmers who used to be on Dartmoor. |
