I've got a George Burton born 1891 who married Peggy (short for Margaret) around 1914. They had a son but I don't know his name. George lived in Louth, Lincolnshire all his life. Again no info on Margaret where born. A long shot, hope you find more info soon. :-) |

I am trying to find out whether a Reginald Burton, listed on the War Graves Commission site, who died 4th August 1944, is one of my grandfather's brothers. The War Graves site states that Reginald's parents were George and Eliza Burton, which are the same names of my grandfather's. The doubt in my mind is my grandmother, who is the eldest surviving relative cannot remeber a Reginald, only a Gerald! Can anyone shed any light onto this? Reginald's wife was a Margaret Burton (maiden name unknown) from Liverpool. Another doubt as my line of Burton's originate from Norfolk. |
