THE BOSENCE FAMILY TREE The Bosence family originate from Cornwall, many from Sancreed, Madron, and Paul, although prior to 1066 they may well have come from France. All Bosence's are related, my aim to have all Bosence's and name variants (and there are many) Bossence and Boscence to name but two, in one family tree. There are three pronunciations for the name in use today, in England Bosence has the emphasis on the second syllable, in Australia the "o" is pronounced as in "bolt" by Bossence and as in "both" by Boscence. The name Bosence among the Cornish is said to mean "secluded dwelling". If you can assist me with my dream please feel free to contact me, no matter how small the information is, it all helps. A big thank to all who have helped with contributions of family information in the past. Regards Gavin A Bosence. |
