Hi: Looking for any relatives of the Smith family of Portslade, Sussex. My grandmother Dorothy (Doffy) had a sister Eve who married Bert Picknell. Doffy married Frederick (Bob) Martin-they were my father Terry Martin's parents. I know my dad had a cousin Dave whom I believe was Eva's son and he was a fireman. I think they (Doffy and Eva) also had a brother (or cousin) Peter Smith who lived in Peru as a misionary. Doffy also used to write to Les Smith who was in Stalag XXa during WW2 and I believe he was her nephew which suggests a male Smith (brother) in her immediate family. |
