Hi I've got a DNA match for a Antony Halley Abbott abt Not sure where 1967'His father was John Halley Abbott 1934 South Africa mother ......Maill ? John's parents were Thomas Brown Abbott 1905 Scotland died Abt 1972 Johannesburg he married Edna Wood b 1908 England possibly Manchester died 27 Sept 1983 South Africa may be Johannesburg
I'm hoping some one can get the Death certificates and that they give the parents names
This could be connected to my paternal side going back to my gr grand parents but this is where I'm missing brother? half brothers not sure what name they took on as their mother died 1861 and because of the names not been able to find them
So hoping if I can get the death certificates it will tell me something I can carry on with
Thank you

There are a few south Africa records on Ancestry - but not many.
Lots of girls named Edna Wood were born 1907-9. Impossible to pick out the right one without more info.

Anthony Halley Abbot - note different spelling:
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/12115238/officers
Presumably he's still living.
Click on his name on that page, and it will give you an office address .
Why not just ask him about his family? <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

I have my DNA on my Heritage and two links to came up 2nd cousin to 2 brothers As I've got a bit of my tree missing I thought I'd give it a go but one brother has quite a few people on his tree but not on Edna Wood, I've checked what they have the death that have been put up on hear I found that Passage you have I wondered about that one as Edna married Thomas Abbott from Scotland but they married in South Africa, Edna was born in Manchester as her brother Albert was
I've had a quick look at the site but I'll check it again later As I said before I think I'll have to leave it as it would seem as the family don't know much about their ancestors I've sent a message to the 2nd brother he has only 3 people on his tree but he lives in South Africa so I'll wait and see if he can give me any more
Thank you for your help

Is there some confusion over the term 'death certificate'.? As far as I am aware you always have to pay for the legal bmd's. It is birth, marriage & death parish registers that are often available for free on some sites. A parish register is unlikely to give any information on grandparents

You say that Edna was born 17/04/1908 in Manchester.
There are two possible births:
WOOD, EDNA mmn BONE GRO Reference: 1908 J Quarter in BURY Volume 08C Page 581
WOOD, EDNA mmn JACKSON GRO Reference: 1908 J Quarter in BARTON UPON IRWELL Volume 08C Page 640
The one registered in Bury is NOT your Edna.
Marriage of the Wood/Bone couple:
Marriages Dec 1900 (>99%) Bone Ada Frances Bury 8c 821 Wood Albert Bury 8c 821
Edna Wood in the 1911 England Census Name Edna Wood Age in 1911 3 Estimated Birth Year abt 1908 Relation to Head Daughter Gender Female Birth Place Heywood, Lancashire, England Civil parish Heywood County/Island Lancashire Country England Street Address 35 William Henry Street Heywood Registration District Number 462 Sub-registration district Heywood ED, institution, or vessel 02 Piece 23492 Household Members (Name) Age Relationship Ada Francis Wood 35 Head Frank Wood 5 Son Edna Wood 3 Daughter Emma Bone 68 Mother
That's not your Edna, as she is still in Heywood in 1939, and has a different DOB, and later married a Doherty:
