You can register with the GRO for free and check mothers maiden names.
You can use the GRO to buy certificates - knowing her fathers name would help when looking at earlier census.

Eliza is on a number of trees on Ancestry. In 1939 she is living with her widowed mother Eliza and younger brother David. The trees suggest there were 10 chikdren. Parents Robert & Eliza.

Hello trying to find more details on my nan Eliza Elizabeth Cupit born Stepney 1915, married Cyril Shapcott. Had 5 children with Cyril and 2 before. Trying to find more details on her siblings and family. My dad has passed and want to try and discover a bit more about his family. When she married she lived in Kennington, but may have lived in Halifax at one point and Stepney.
