She isn’t listed on the 1921 census as potter or walters

Tks. everybody, I have all this info. I'm looking mainly for Mary Ann. Mary is NOT listed on the ship's passenger list. I have to assume that she stayed behind in the UK with those kids of Joseph who didn't emigrate to Western Australia. Ralph came to Aust. but went back home via Melbourne. Fredrick stayed in the UK. ArgyllGran, your spot on. Joseph came out earlier to set up house etc. I have many of the family member's birth certs also Mary Ann's and Alice Bertha. I just can't get any further than Jan 18 1918 , with Mary , where she was listed on Granddad Joseph's death cert. as still being alive along with her siblings. Anyway, many tks for looking up for me.

"Did she die of the Spanish Flu? Would they have had a mass grave or such like???

If she did indeed get married it would have been end 1913 to sometime in 1922 but no trace of a marriage has been located.

A Mary Potter born 1889 travelled to USA as a maid aboard the Mauretania 11 Oct 1913. Intended country of residence was listed as the UK so there was no intention of settling in the USA."

Dalinpot35's note re the christening record:

"Rosa is actually Rose Hannah Morgan and her mother was Elizabeth Pritchard. All else is correct. I think the mother had put a stress on the "E" and it sounded like an "A" "

An Ancestry user named Dalinpot35 has added the following note to the 1891 census, re Mary Ann:

"Mary Ann Walters was born 29th Jan 1889 According to her birth cert.
In later life, Mary Ann Walters (Potter) never married one Benjamin Pountney. It was a different Mary Ann ."

Re Alice Bertha:

"Alice Bertha was born Potter. She was the first child of Joseph Potter and Rose Hannah Walters when Rose was living in the work house."

No notes re Rose.
