Find Ancestors

Hi all, am trying to find some family for a friend, Her Grandparents were Jesse F Baldwin born Sept qtr Thame, Oxford. He married Grace Ellen V Carnell born 31st Jan 1901.

I cant find Grace in the 1901 or 1911 census when looking on familysearch, so can't help her with that side at the moment.

If the F in Jesse's name is Folly then I may be on the right track for his parents being Joseph Baldwin and Elizabeth Folly, but wanted a little advice first.

Jesse's marriage certificate would confirm his fathers name. You can now use the GRO to find a mother's maiden name - so as yiou have Jesse's birth you can check that out.

Jesse married Grace in 1922 Reigate - Freebmd.

Grace is on the 1901/1911 Census. Look for Cornell & Carnell moving from Essex to Surrey.

GRace's birth reg. from the GRO site mentioned. You have to register, but free to use. will give you mmn from the start of registration in 1837 - in no mmn then presume illegitimate
