It was difficult for the ‘ordinary working man’ to afford divorce. The Beasley marriage certificate and the 1936 death certificate may answer some questions. |

Trying to find out where Frederick was after 1911, found he was married to Emma Alderton in 1892 and had an adopted daughter Mabel. I then found out that Emma had married Joseph Beasley/ Beesley in Sheffield area in 1906 and had a daughter Rosie. Emma was still married to Frederick, but didn't know if he was alive or dead at time of 2nd marriage.( Newspaper article) Frederick is in 1911 living with his brother as a lodger in Plough Inn Bury St Edmunds, but I can't find where he is in 1921 census. I think he died in 1936. Thank you for your help. |
