Find Ancestors

I think it showed how many people copy other peoples trees without checking. Really annoying. Some are probably right but I have not checked them all out.
I have found that the more people copy the wrong entry the more Ancestry feels it to be correct.

Ellen Carlisle Froom(e) is a different person:

Tree owners may have been confused (without checking things out properly) because Ancestry's suggestions include records for William's daughter Ellen.

Yet Mary Ann was born in Staffs.

Edit. Ellen, the daughter, is in a lot of trees on Ancestry which are mostly private. She is sometimes referred to as Ellen Carlisle F..none of the public trees had got Mary Ann in them.

Added: that tree looks like one of those muddled up ones. The child born in Derbyshire to William F & Ellen Geary in 1838 - when William was 13!!

More confusion.. The eldest and youngest children with Lionel and Mary are the children, according to the baptisms, are the children of Catherine. I presume e the middle child is as well.
I can’t find a marriage for Lionel to Mary, so did Catherine become known as Mary or is this another woman entirely.

The 1841 Lionel/Mary census states they were all born in county.

???? Maybe the birthplace is a mistake, if her family were living in London by then. Her presumed sister Ellen was born in St George's district.

The entry for the Paris wedding states that Mary Ann was born in Burton on Trent so this the correct birth. So she must be a child of the William Froome / Ellen Geary marriage. Well done finding the death entry.

As the family seem to totally avoid any census I wonder if there are more children?

Added. Mary Ann’s husband Raimond Gertrude Louis Ingrano was an Italian from Naples so a lot more work for Richard to do to find relatives from that marriage.

William was a stableman, on marriage to Ellen Geary.

The William who married Elisa Grimm in Paris was a coachman - similar, but of course many men worked with horses in some way in those days.

He was a widower.
He was the son of Lionel and MARIE (not Catharine), both deceased.
But perhaps the informant was mistaken about her name.

Witnesses were John Jenkins and John Moxey Salmon, both living in Paris.

Having had another look at the marriage in Paris I think it is now possible thst Mary Ann may have been an older child. Mary Ann Froom was registered in Burton on Trent Staffs 2nd qtr 1839.
The parish record for the marriage is on Ancestry. I haven’t had a chance to check the mothers maiden name yet.

Yes, it was the Ancestry entry. I’m still on my iPad so c& p is difficult. That is the birth date not the baptismal date.
I agree that the daughter might not have known her father was still alive and I am still not convinced the French death is right.
The child on theFrench tree would have been born the year William married Ellen.

It is odd, however, that William never seems to appear on any census.
