Find Ancestors

Can anyone please help find ancestors of Betty Pritchard ,born 1924 we have tried all routes and even hard trying to find out anything ,she lived in Ledbury herefordshire and married a John ames in the 1960s she had 4 children between 1942 and 1958 but cannot find the father for them ,I have only found1 Betty Pritchard in 1939 censor but that was in Darlington,regards sandra

Her father - if she knew him , will be named on her marriage cert

1939 is a Register - not a census, so the info it holds is different

So possibly Edth could be Betty's mum ,there are a lot of Pritchards for such a small place like Ledbury,I will tell Sue to get a birth cert for Betty and hopefully her parents will be on there ,I had to smile when I saw the name of the address ,,Smoke Alley ,,,I will google it and see history on it ,regards sandra

Only her mother will be named.

Looking at the free website www. freebmd.org.uk there were quite a number of Pritchard children born in Hereford between 1942 and 1958 with the mothers name also as Pritchard. This suggests that the fathers names were probably not added. Presumably Sandra’s friends husband has his which would confirm it.

Terry's dad is not on his birth cert just his mothers ,terry was born 1945 Under John Terrence Pritchard ,she will have to get a copy of his mams birth cert to see if she can find his ancestors,I am going to help her to start a family tree tomorrow .regards sandra .
