Are there any lovely people on here that have access to looking at military records? I'm trying to help a friend find any info on 2 people. They are
Thomas Henry Ambler B. 1880 Hull Soldier no - 2255
Harry Overfield B. 28 Dec 1873 Settrington, York's D. 5 July 1916 France?
Any help would be most appreciated, thanks.

I assume you mean to fold 3.
I don’t have that. But a death in France and presumably a burial or memorial should be on the Commonwealth graves website : CWGC

Very, very sad.
We regret to have to report that more of our fellow townsmen have been killed at the Front, one of whom is 19086 Pte. Harry Overfield of the East Yorkshire Regiment. He was reported wounded in July, but a letter received by his widowed mother on Tuesday morning states that he was killed in action on July 5. The deceased, who was 42 years of age, joined colours about 18 months ago, and went to France in Feb. last. He was the third son of the late Mr James Overfield and previous to joining up was farm foreman with the late Mr E Consitt, Middleton Wold. Mrs Overfield has received a letter of sympathy from the King. 09 September 1916 - Driffield Times - Driffield, Yorkshire, England
In loving memory of our dear brother, Pte. Harry Overfield, killed in action July 5th, 1916. We shall meet him some bright morning Resting by the waters fair. He is waiting for our coming In the upper garden there. Emily and Alf, Westgate, Driffield.
In loving memory of my dear son Private Harry Overfield, who was killed in action July 5th 1916. Somewhere in France my dear son is laid In a grave we may never see Will some gentle hand in that far distant land Place a flower on his grave for me
From his sorrowing mother and sisters, also Harold. 07 July 1923 - Driffield Times - Driffield, Yorkshire, England
