If the 1851 census posted by Shirley is for the correct Ann, and if her details are correct, she was born at Drumanby.

Drumanby/Dromonby seems to be near Kirkby, Middlesbrough, and not particularly near any of the places suggested so far.
Approx 30 miles from Gilling East, approx 25 from Kirkby Moorside; approx 40 from Lockton.

Not that that necessarily means anything.

John Shepherd's probably a parish official of some sort , as he has witnessed quite a lot of marriage records.

BUT -
That couple married "with consent of parents", which doesn't fit with Ann's YOB of 1784 as in records posted above - assuming that means they were under 21 in 1813.


As Shirley says - so many of the same name!

I don't think that's the right marriage, sadly.
