Do you mean Thissy as given name rather than surname?

Might just be a 'pet' name

Terry posted the correction as another thread. This should is the given name.

Added: I,ve just googled Thistle as a given name and apparently it is has occasional usage.

Look for the birth registration if after 1837

Posting a name in isolation isn’t helpful

There is a 1869 marriage in Norfolk been transcribed as Thisys Robinson but is actually Thirza. A given name I have come across several times - could it be this one.
