Seeking family information on our family side from India. Charles Augustus would have married we believe EMily Warren (Emberly or something like) and had children, one of who was my husbands gran (named Marjorie but have seen evidence on another site that her name was Margareta). Originally listed as Sampson, the family name was then changed at some stage to Daniels and it is said that my husbands grandfather was called Moses Daniel Sampson (the Sampson being dropped). Any pointers would be fantastic, thank you. Kaz :-D

Can you give some idea of time frame - there was a man of the names baptised in 1800 at Bombay
there were 3 men of that name who married in India 1835 Calcutta, 1899 in the Madras Presidency and 1902.
1902 is the one you mention - on 30 April 1902 in Madras - to Embery Mary WARREN
His Father was Richard Augustus and hers Richard Warren.
Charles was 24 and a Widower resident at the time of marriage in Nundydroog (so born c1878) Embery was 17 and single of Bangalore. Witnesses were L D'Costa and G D'Costa
Bothe described as Eurasian on the certificate

Apologies on the dates omitted .. Charles Augustus may have been born in 1878 or thereabouts, may have been previously married? Married Emberly Warren (Emily) early 1900's is the information I've fond so far.
Margareta Augustus married Sampson/Daniels (husband Moses Daniel Sampson or like), cannot find or locate any information about both (think dates of birth would have been between 1906 - 1915) and they had 4 children. Found one record of baptism for one daughter but nothing for the remaining children, Ronald, Patricia and Jeffrey (Diana found) although the first name and the middle names have been swapped around)
I had previously asked but lost my thread, so thank you for any help. Kaz
