Can someone with Ancestry cast their eye over a marriage certificate please.

20th February 1859 St Pancras Church, London.

Joseph Edward Dolby
Mary Ann Powell both minors (under 21?)

Witnesses William Dolby (brother)
Mary Ann ??????

Even the writing alongside the signature is a bit dodgy. It could be Scuby or even Lovedy.

Any suggestions please? Thank you.

The writing alongside is SCRUBY

Thank you Erika, I am trying to find a connection with the happy couple, maybe just a friend as no parents are signatories.

Obviously not the bride's father, as he is deceased.

Thanks again.

There is a marriage in Holborn in 1860 for a Mary Ann Scruby aged 19. No names on the cert to link with the 1859 marriage, as far as I can tell

Thank you again Erika. It is idle curiosity really.

I will have a dig around.
