Have you looked at Thomas Wymewell’s Will on Ancestry? If it’s the one who was the F-i-L, it may hold some clues |

I thought that he might have married twice, but there was no mention in the marriage between Francis and Ann Tymewell that he was a widow. and I can't find a death for ann (Pearce). |

If he names Thomas Tymewell then it is likely he married twice. Have you found the parish entry for that marriage as it may indicate he was a widower. |

The name of the location is probably Batheaston - might help with searches |

In his will he states his wife is called Ann and his mother is called Elizabeth and both appear to be alive. His will was written in 1750 and proved in 1755. |
