Maybe back a further generation?
Could this be William aged 10 in 1861. Parents would have given info for the earlier census and were living in Sunderland. In 1911 he gave the info and his right place of birth.

Ancestry tree gives William and Mary as William Warwick 1827-1895 b Loughbrickland, County Down and
Mary as Mary McGrath 1827-1896. No further details
They are said to have married 22.1.1841 in Newry, Co. Down
Don't take this for granted unless you can find the proof.
However the tree has an extract from the 1851 Irish census with the applicant for the information an Eliza Warwick (March 1849/50). Current address Mrs Eliza Bryan, 14 Coronation Street, Sunderland, Co. Durham. Dated 1920
Full names of Father and Mother of Applicant are William and Mary Warwick (McGrath) Residence in 1851 given as County Down in the Townland of Newtonards

From Scotlands People site. You can search and get the result shown for free and then buy credits to download and look at the Parish entry - this is before Official registration began in Scotland, so will be a baptism rather than Birth.
https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/record-results?
This looks to be William's Baptism

Evening safc - I'm not the only one up late then. Off to bed now though as soon as this posted.
There's a marriage entry in a Parish Register which the Ancestry tree must have been referring to as it said Warnock of Warwick
the transcript doesn't show William's surname but you can see what the entry is on the original;

Try working some details out for yourself - here's the possible births of Elizabeth Place - as she married only as Elizabeth (not that it always follows, middle names aren't always given) and says she was born in Sunderland, you might follow the Sunderland birth -
From freebmd for example - Co. Durham
Surname First name(s) District Vol Page Births Dec 1863 (>99%) PLACE Elizabeth Ann Stockton 10a 99
Births Sep 1865 (>99%) Place Elizabeth Sunderland 10a 503 Place Elizabeth Ann Darlington 10a 16
You can then go to the GRO site and look for corresponding births there where the MMN will show. (and pick up sibling births)
Name: Mother's Maiden Surname: PLACE, ELIZABETH ANN BARKER GRO Reference: 1863 D Quarter in STOCKTON Volume 10A Page 99
PLACE, ELIZABETH PARTON GRO Reference: 1865 S Quarter in SUNDERLAND Volume 10A Page 503
PLACE, ELIZABETH ANN FERGUSON GRO Reference: 1865 S Quarter in DARLINGTON UNION Volume 10A Page 16
Give the year it shows for the birth a 20 year zone and find the marriage, still in Sunderland. (James Place and Hannah 1845)
This is where Elizabeth marriage certificate would be useful to confirm Father's name. You should always prove each generation.
If you don't have access to census from pay sites, then check the Family Search site and also freecen
Look at the 1871 census and find the family in Sunderland. You can come forward and go backwards to track the family.
Look like they're living with Hannah's Mother in 1851 (Rosanna)
Use the GRO site to check out siblings going back to the time of the parents marriage
the 1841 census picks up James possibly with his Mother Barbara, although relationships aren't given on the 1841. Also ages over 15 were supposed to be rounded down to the nearest 5 (ie age 33 would show as 30) so ages can sometimes look "out"
Do the same for Hannah who is with her Mother (Rose)
BMD's pre Q3 1837 aren't available online - you have to then use Parish Registers for Baptisms, Marriages and Burials.
Try - https://www.familysearch.org - another free site
Hannah's Baptism is shown and it gives her parents names (Father wasn't on the 1841/1851 so presume died pre then)
There is also a Baptism for James with Mother's Christian name to match that on the 1841 census, so now you have a Father's name too.
The marriage of James' parents, Barbara and George, is on Find My Past (not on Family search) gives the date as 12 July 1818 at Jarrow, Durham and her surname as McPherson.
Find My Past gives Barbara's Baptism as 16.6.1789 in Sunderland to James and Elizabeth
FMP also has the marriage of Rosanna Farmer to Thomas Parton 1825 Sunderland Holy Trinity - but you can find that one on the Family Search site
See how you go on - it's only what we helpers have to do and it will help you find your way rounds those free sites.
Come back if you need to or want to confirm anything
