Find Ancestors

This is my half uncle. I am trying to find his death date. He was born in 1910 in Lancashire. He never married. The last trace I have is that he was showing on the 1965 electoral register in London but nothing after that.

Any help in finding his date and place of death would be appreciated.

1939 with date of birth which may or may not help.

No will, but you could hopefully get a copy of the administration documents which might hold a clue? £1.50 via the site. Full address on site.

Thank a couple of years back I did order the death certificate for Frederick James Lyle and it was not the person.

As his record is open on the 1939 register then his death must have been picked up

Why was the death cert not him ?

Do you have his birth cert for his actual birthdate ?

Are you sure he didn’t marry cos he seems to be on the electoral rolls in Battersea consistently and with an Irene I M Lyle

Miss Anne M Lyle married in 1965, to the man who's listed with the Lyles in 1961 ER.
I think she was born as Marguerite in 1938, daughter of Albert and Irene,

Ah that’s interesting so he living with his sister in law and family!

Seems Albert was killed in ww2

It would be interesting why the death cert for Frederick wasn’t thought to be the right one !

Frederick's address at death (per the probate record) was John Kirk House, Mantua Street, Battersea - a sheltered housing complex.

That's only half a mile from Home Road where he lived for at least 20 years, per ERs.

I'm sure the 1992 death is the right one!
